So in case I've never mentioned it before.... I hate the Jonas Brothers. This is for many, many reasons [mediocre talent wannabes who hardly had to work for what was given to them] but we won't go too much into that. And it makes it worse that my mom's boyfriend's kids are completely obsessed with them and go to all of their shows [front row] within a 50,000 mile radius. Pretty much anything that attracts rabid fan girls annoys the shit out of me.
Long story short, my "best friend since before birth" happens to know the Jonas Brothers, something like their moms are old friends and they all knew each other when they were young, so she gets free tickets to their shows when they're in Chicago, which happens to be next weekend. So guess who's going to see the Jonas Brothers? Me. It's the one week J's home this summer, and we hardly ever get to see each other since she goes to school a few states away. What was I supposed to say when she asked? Sorry, it's against my beliefs? So I guess in this case, it's just better to keep my mouth shut, and spend some time with my bffl.
But, today I'm going to Summerfest to see Anberlin!! It's been a long time since I've seen them, so this should be fun. Pictures afterwards. Two weekends from now Danger Is My Middle Name and Made Avail are playing out near me, and the weekend after that is Warped Tour!! Who knew July would turn out to be such a concert-full month?
